Different Training Programmes

Licence in Dental Surgery (LDS) conducted by The Royal College of Surgeons England

An alternative route towards GDC registration as a Dentist, The Licence in Dental Surgery (LDS) is also the oldest continuously existing dental qualification in the United Kingdom and is conducted by the Royal College of Surgeons of England. The LDS examination comprises two Parts - Part 1 consists of two written papers in the format of Single Best Answer (SBA) and Extended Matching Questions (EMQ), each of three hours duration taken on the same day. The Part 2 examination is held over a minimum of 3 days and consists of 3 sections:

  • Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) of 2 hours duration
  • An operative test on a dental manikin of up to 3 hours duration
  • The 'Unseen Case' [based on an objective structured long examination (OSLE) model]

Triumph Dental Training currently offers online as well as face to face sessions for candidates wishing to undertake LDS Part1 coaching. Candidates are offered LDS Part 1 training on a one to one basis based on a detailed training plan developed by the assigned tutor.

Comprehensive programmes for LDS Part2 coaching in India, the Middle East and the UK are being planned to be conducted in the near future; interested candidates may contact us as an individual or group so that we can arrange a programme near you at the earliest.

Currently, 1:1 online guidance & classes for LDS Part II are being facilitated on Skype by our experienced UK based faculty. Each candidate will have an assigned tutor who will guide through important exam topics & frequently asked questions. The highlights of Triumph's coaching are the unique bank of cases based on previous exam diets, sessions based on the actual exam format and mock exams strictly identical to the actual exam.
